ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a South St. Louis convenience store and held the clerk at knifepoint early Monday morning.

It was a scary night for the clerk, who police say was alone in the store at the time.  St. Louis police said they got a call for help around 1:30 a.m.  They said someone pointed a knife at an employee at a Circle K Phillips 66 gas station on Fyler Avenue and Jamieson Avenue.  The suspect apparently demanded an unspecified amount of money.

The clerk is fine, and police believe that the suspect was acting alone.

Investigators said they are looking for a Caucasian male, wearing a light-blue jacket with a University Of North Carolina logo and white sleeves.  That suspect got away in a car.

If you know anything about this incident, you are asked to call St. Louis Police or 911 immediately.
