ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) — Police said a man died in a vicious surprise attack in North St. Louis overnight.
Officers with the city’s command post said someone called for help at 1:10 Monday morning. They said two men were trying to get into a Chrysler sedan sitting on St. Louis Avenue near Norwood Avenue, when three suspects came out of a gangway and opened fire hitting both men.
Medics rushed one man, who suffered a leg injury, to the hospital. Doctors treated that victim and released him within a few hours.
But, police say the suspects hit the second victim in the head. That man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was just 35-years old. The injured survivor is 24-years-old.
There was no immediate word on any arrests.
