ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) — St. Louis Police said children were in the apartment where two men were shot overnight, and their mother was beaten. Police are now looking for the children’s father.
This all happened inside the Cambridge Heights Apartments on 7th Street near O’Fallon Street just north of the Edward Jones Dome. Police rushed to there just after 11:30 Wednesday night.
Officers at the police command post said the children were not hurt, but they may have been awake.
Police also found a 27-year-old man who died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso. Another man, 25 years old, survived his gunshot wounds to his jaw and abdomen. But he left scene in an ambulance and in critical but unstable condition. The mother may have been pistol whipped and beaten, but not shot.
Officers said the three victims may have been friends. The male survivor and mother were apparently neighbors in the same building.
